Real Valladolid beat FC Andorra 1-0 in LaLiga 2, Diego Alende's 12th-minute goal proving decisive. Andorra enjoyed most of the possession and had more attempts, but Valladolid defended their lead to take the points.
Alende put Real Valladolid ahead with the only goal of the match after 12 minutes. Andorra replied with 13 shots and four on target, while Valladolid's goalkeeper made four saves and the visitors missed two big chances. Mathis Lachuer was sent off, and Carlos Clerc, Efe Akman, Moró Sidibe, Julien Ponceau, Marc Bombardo and Diego Alende were booked.
The stats showed Andorra's dominance on the ball: 64 per cent possession and 415 accurate passes to Valladolid's 204. Yet Valladolid, with just 36 per cent possession and nine shots, made the early goal count and closed out a 1-0 win.
