Qingdao West Coast beat Qingdao Hainiu 2-0 in the CFA Super League, taking their chances when it mattered. Hainiu had more total shots, with 11 to West Coast's nine, but West Coast created five big chances and put four shots on target to Hainiu's two.
Xinli Peng opened the scoring in the 40th minute, finishing from Yu Dong's assist. Samir Memisevic doubled the lead in the 64th minute, with Davidson providing the assist as the 2-0 scoreline held through the closing stages.
West Coast also had the clearer of the game's major openings, while Hainiu's afternoon unravelled when Suda Li was sent off in the 85th minute after a second yellow card. The result leaves West Coast with a comfortable derby win.
