Puebla left Pachuca with a 3-2 win in the Apertura after a match that swung both ways. They stormed into a two-goal lead, saw it wiped out by a Salomón Rondón double, and then snatched victory through Facundo Almada's 90th-minute strike.
Emiliano Gómez put Puebla ahead in the 16th minute and Kevin Velasco doubled the lead in the 33rd. Rondón pulled one back just before the break, levelled in the 63rd, but Almada had the final say at the death.
Pachuca's 21 shots and 56% possession counted for little as Puebla's five efforts on target brought three goals. The visitors also edged the expected-goals battle 2.27 to 2.03, with Rondón's brace for Pachuca the only real resistance.
