Arney David Rocha Marimón put Miami ahead in the 45th minute, with Trevor Amann equalising for Pittsburgh in the same minute. Samuel Bassett gave the visitors the lead on the hour, and that remained the scoreline until Miami forced parity before full-time.
The possession and shooting stats heavily favoured Miami, who had 65 per cent of the ball and 17 shots to Pittsburgh's nine. However, Pittsburgh's goalkeeper made five saves to keep the visitors in the match, and the result leaves both teams with a point.
