Travis Konecny opened the scoring at 9:00 of the second period, assisted by Rasmus Ristolainen. Dallas answered eight minutes later when Arttu Hyry scored unassisted to knot it 1-1. The third period went scoreless, sending the game to overtime, where Zegras beat the Stars' netminder off a feed from Cam York.
Zegras's OT marker proved decisive, giving Philadelphia its second win of the season. The Flyers' penalty kill held Dallas scoreless on two opportunities, while the power play went 0-for-3.
