Peñarol claimed a convincing 4-0 win away to Danubio in Primera División. They led inside 16 minutes and then put the game beyond doubt with a three-goal burst in the second half.
Leandro Umpiérrez opened the scoring in the 16th minute from Eduardo Darías' assist. Matías Arezo doubled the lead in the 55th and added another a minute later, before Umpiérrez completed the scoring in the 60th.
Matías Arezo was the standout player, his quick brace turning a manageable lead into a rout. Peñarol finished with four different scoring contributions across the two halves.
