Mirassol and LDU played out a 1-1 draw in the first leg of their Libertadores round-of-16 tie. Eduardo's early goal put the hosts ahead, but Michael Estrada struck late to earn LDU a share of the spoils.
Eduardo scored Mirassol's 15th-minute opener from Edson Carioca's assist. LDU controlled much of the contest and finally made the pressure tell in the 82nd minute, Michael Estrada finishing from Janner Corozo's delivery. Yerlin Quinonez, Neto Moura and João Wellington Japa were all booked before the equaliser.
The stats show LDU created the clearer chances: 14 shots to 12, six big chances to two, and an expected-goals return of 1.87 against Mirassol's 0.73. Five big chances went begging, keeping Mirassol in the tie before Estrada's leveller. Possession finished level at 50-50.
