Vukojevic opened the scoring in the 18th minute, finishing from Nahom Girmai's pass. Diego Garcia equalised for Malmö in the 48th minute, but Vukojevic struck again on 70 minutes, this time set up by Samba Diatara, to restore Degerfors' lead and secure the points.
The scoreline told a tale of two approaches: Malmö had 74% possession and 14 shots to Degerfors' five. Degerfors' goalkeeper made three saves, while Malmö's was called on only once, and Vukojevic's brace proved the decisive edge.
