Wright was the match-winner with both Liverpool goals, while the stats pointed to a tight contest: possession was 50-50 and Liverpool edged shots on target 4-3. Leeds had more corners, 7-5, but Liverpool's extra attempts off target, 6-1, reflected their greater volume of shooting.
