Fredrik Gulbrandsen pulled one back for Lillestrøm in the 37th, but Benjamin Thoresen Faraas restored the two-goal cushion on 65 and added a fourth on 79 from Gabriel Wesseh's assist.
Lillestrøm had more of the ball (54%) and more shots (16 to 13), yet Fredrikstad were far more clinical, putting nine shots on target to their hosts' four. Faraas' brace made him the game's decisive figure, while the visitors' expected-goals tally of 3.07 underlined their superiority.
