The match looked set to finish goalless until Ueda struck for Lille late in the second half. Toulouse had 10 shots on target but missed four big chances, while Santiago Hidalgo was booked for the home side in the 20th minute.
Toulouse dominated on the numbers: 24 shots to Lille’s 10, 53% possession and 3.47 expected goals to 1.06. Lille scored from their one big chance and took the points despite being outplayed for long spells.
