KalPa struck first at 7, Joonas Lyytinen finishing off a Juuso Mäenpää feed for a 0-1 lead that held through the opening period. The turning point arrived on the second-period buzzer at 40, when Jiro Frilander, set up by Justin Addamo, tied it at 1-1 — and from there the game flattened out, with neither side scoring in the third.
