Independiente Santa Fe came from behind to beat Millonarios 3-2 in a lively Primera A Apertura match. Daniel Ruiz had given the away side an early lead, but Santa Fe turned the game around with three goals between the 45th and 71st minutes. Millonarios pressed until the end, yet the hosts held on for the win.
Daniel Ruiz put Millonarios ahead in the 6th minute, with Leonardo Castro providing the assist. Johan Torres equalised for Santa Fe in the 45th minute, and Franco Fagúndez made it 2-1 in the 50th. Emerson Rodríguez extended the lead to 3-1 in the 71st minute from Daniel Torres' pass, and although Andrey Estupiñán pulled one back for Millonarios two minutes later, they could not find an equaliser. Helibelton Palacios was sent off in the 86th minute after a second yellow card.
The visitors dominated possession, holding 55%, and had more shots than Santa Fe, with 17 to 12, including eight on target to six. Santa Fe still won, helped by seven goalkeeper saves and three big chances created to Millonarios' one. Expected goals were almost level, 1.02 to 1.01, but Santa Fe were the sharper side where it mattered.
