CF Montreal came from behind twice to earn a 2-2 draw with LA Galaxy in MLS, with Prince-Osei Owusu's 79th-minute equaliser securing a point. LA Galaxy controlled much of the ball but were left to rue a sending-off that tipped the balance late on.
Daniel Rios gave Montreal the lead on 16 minutes, only for Ruben Ramos to level three minutes later. Maya Yoshida put the Galaxy ahead just after the restart, but the match turned when James Marcinkowski was sent off on 68 minutes, and Owusu's leveller followed to make it 2-2.
The box score told of LA's dominance, with 62% possession and the only shot recorded, yet they could not hold on with ten men. Montreal's resilience in the closing stages was the defining factor.
