IFK Mariehamn claimed a thumping 2-4 away win over KuPS, taking control with a first-half barrage and then holding off a home revival. Three goals before the break gave the visitors a platform they never surrendered.
Adam Larsson put Mariehamn ahead on six minutes, only for Gustav Engvall to level for KuPS on 11. Jonathan Svedberg restored the lead on 14 and Ludvig Richtner made it 1-3 before half-time. Piotr Parzyszek pulled one back for KuPS on 59, but Richtner's second on 62 killed the contest.
Ludvig Richtner was the difference with a brace, either side of KuPS's brief fightback. Mariehamn weathered three yellow cards inside the opening 20 minutes and still produced the game's decisive moments.
