Guayaquil City came from behind to beat Delfín 2-1, with a dramatic late winner securing all three points. Delfín had taken an early lead, but Guayaquil City responded after the break and snatched victory in stoppage time.
Franco Ayunta put Delfín ahead in the seventh minute. Guayaquil City levelled four minutes into the second half through Pablo Gonzalez, assisted by Miller Bolaños. The winning goal arrived in the 90th minute, an own goal that gave the hosts the lead.
Guayaquil City dominated possession with 68% and created three big chances to Delfín's one, though Delfín had five shots on target against Guayaquil City's three. The home side's persistence paid off with the late strike, while goalkeeper saves (4-1 in Guayaquil City's favour) helped keep Delfín at bay.
