Gruner Ishockey answered early in the second, cutting it to 2-1 at the 22nd minute, and the middle period finished 0-1 in their favour. The third broke open with goals at the 43rd and 44th minutes and Comet's insurance marker late, the hosts winning the frame 2-1 to close out 4-2.
