Gorleston FC progressed in the FA Cup with a decisive 4-1 away win over Leighton Town. Three goals inside the opening 22 minutes put the tie firmly in their hands.
Harley Black opened the scoring after two minutes, Ryan Curtis doubled the lead in the 17th and Joe Jefford made it 3-0 in the 22nd. Sam McClelland was sent off on 56 minutes and Curtis struck again on 58 to make it 4-0. Sydney Ibie pulled one back for Leighton Town in the 84th minute.
Ryan Curtis was the standout player, scoring twice in the 17th and 58th minutes. His second goal came two minutes after the red card, and Gorleston’s early work proved more than enough to see off Leighton’s late reply.
