RFS eased past Glentoran FC with a 2-0 win in the first leg of their Europa Conference League qualifier. An early goal set the tone, and the hosts never looked back, adding a second after the break to take a commanding lead into the return leg.
Modou Saidy headed home from Lasha Odisharia's cross in the 5th minute to give RFS the perfect start. The home side controlled the first half, and Jānis Ikaunieks doubled the lead in the 61st minute, finishing off a pass from Rostand Ndjiki.
Glentoran's frustration showed in the booking count, with four yellow cards – Zeno Ibsen Rossi, Marcus Kane, James Singleton and Joshua Kelly all cautioned. RFS kept their discipline and never allowed the visitors a way back into the match.
