Feyenoord won 3-1 at NEC Nijmegen in the Eredivisie after scoring three second-half goals. The win was sealed in a decisive spell after NEC had briefly cancelled out Feyenoord's opener.
Gjivai Zechiël put Feyenoord ahead in the 52nd minute, with Nacho Ferri providing the assist. Darko Nejašmić equalised for NEC in the 55th minute, but Feyenoord struck twice in quick succession - Luciano Valente restored the lead in the 61st minute and Jerayno Schaken made it 3-1 in the 64th, Zechiël assisting both.
The stats show NEC had plenty of the ball, enjoying 62% possession and completing 433 passes to Feyenoord's 245. Feyenoord carried the greater threat, though, registering six shots on target to NEC's two and creating four big chances; Zechiël was at the heart of the win, adding the opening goal and two assists to a yellow card in first-half stoppage time.
