Gençlerbirliği came from behind to beat Fenerbahçe 2-1 in the Süper Lig, overturning Anderson Talisca's early opener with goals either side of half-time. The hosts were outplayed for long spells but were far more clinical in front of goal.
Talisca put Fenerbahçe ahead on 13 minutes. Franco Tongya equalised on 37, and Oğulcan Ülgün struck on 56 to complete the comeback. The equaliser just before the break shifted momentum, and Ülgün's decisive goal arrived ten minutes into the second half.
Fenerbahçe dominated every major statistical category – 71% possession, 29 shots, 11 on target and 3.38 expected goals – yet took only one of their seven big chances. Gençlerbirliği scored with two of their three shots on target and their goalkeeper made ten saves.
