Silkeborg IF and FC Midtjylland shared a 1-1 draw in the Superliga, with Wiliam Kirk's 13th-minute opener cancelled out by Stanley Iheanacho's 66th-minute equaliser. The result leaves both sides with a point from a tight meeting.
Kirk put Silkeborg ahead early and that remained the score until after the break. On 57 minutes Julius Emefile was sent off, and nine minutes later Iheanacho levelled from Friday Etim's assist. Neither side added a late winner.
The stats show Midtjylland had the better of the game: 57% possession, 15 shots and an expected-goals mark of 2.50 against Silkeborg's 1.11. Silkeborg, though, registered more shots on target with five to Midtjylland's four, and each side missed two big chances. That combination produced a fair 1-1.
