CFR 1907 Cluj progressed comfortably with a 3-0 win over FC Alashkert in the UEFA Europa Conference League second qualifying round. The home side struck early and were never troubled, helped by an early red card for their own player that forced them to play a man down for most of the match.
Karlo Muhar nodded in from Stefan Dražić's cross after just three minutes to set the tone. Meriton Korenica doubled the lead on the stroke of half-time, again assisted by Dražić, and Alin Fica wrapped things up with a solo effort in the 77th minute.
Despite being reduced to ten men following Cézar Henrique's 12th-minute sending-off, CFR 1907 Cluj dominated the scoreline with three different scorers. There was no let-up after the break, and Alashkert could not find a way back into the tie.
