FCV Farul Constanța left it late but secured a 2-0 win over FC Corvinul Hunedoara in Liga I. The home side dominated possession and created plenty of chances but had to wait until the 83rd minute to break the deadlock.
Matteo Ahlinvi opened the scoring with a finish from Iustin Doicaru's assist, giving Farul the lead. Deep into stoppage time, Alexandru Goncear added a second to seal the victory, as Hunedoara were down to ten men following Ion Cararus's red card in the 51st minute.
Farul had 64% possession and fired 20 shots, with ten on target, while the visitors managed just one shot on goal. Hunedoara goalkeeper made eight saves to keep his side in the game, but they could not hold out as Farul's pressure finally told.
