SpVgg Greuther Fürth won a topsy-turvy 2. Bundesliga encounter 4-3 at Energie Cottbus, coming from behind and then holding off a late rally. The visitors were clinical in front of goal, while the hosts had far more of the ball and far more attempts.
Lucas Copado fired Cottbus ahead after six minutes, but Felix Klaus equalised in first-half stoppage time. Fousseny Doumbia put Fürth in front a minute after the break and, after Tolcay Cigerci had made it 2-2, Ole Pohlmann and Klaus again gave the visitors a 4-2 cushion before Dmytro Bogdanov pulled one back in the 90th minute.
The numbers point to a home side that did everything but win: Energie Cottbus had 54% possession, 23 shots and an expected-goals total of 3.07, yet Fürth scored from four of their seven shots on target. Felix Klaus's brace was the decisive difference.
