Heidenheim came from behind twice to beat ten-man Dynamo Dresden 5-3 in a high-scoring 2. Bundesliga match. Dresden led through Vincent Vermeij and Robert Wagner, but the match turned when Thomas Keller was sent off in the 69th minute.
Vermeij put Dresden ahead in the 30th minute, and Jan Schöppner equalised for Heidenheim in the 67th. Robert Wagner restored Dresden's lead in the 73rd, but Friedrich Müller levelled again four minutes later and Oualid Mhamdi put Heidenheim in front in the 87th. Julian Niehues and Maximilian Breunig added quick goals in the 89th and 90th minutes, and Jonas Sterner scored a late third for Dresden.
Heidenheim had only 38% possession and made 203 accurate passes to Dresden's 401, yet they finished with 22 shots to 16 and 9 on target to 6. Their expected-goals total of 2.26 was also higher than Dresden's 1.28, and they troubled the Dresden goal more often despite having less of the ball. Dresden's greater share of possession ended in defeat.
