San Diego FC beat Colorado Rapids 3-0 in MLS, taking the win with two first-half goals and a third after the break. They were efficient in front of goal, scoring three times from four shots on target.
Onni Valakari opened the scoring in the 27th minute, and Elias Achouri doubled the lead eight minutes later. Gabriel Pirani made it 3-0 in the 71st minute, with Marcus Ingvartsen providing the assist.
San Diego created five big chances and converted three, while Colorado had none. Possession was even at 50 per cent, but Colorado's nine shots brought only two on target and an xG of 0.41 against San Diego's 1.19.
