Chicago Fire FC II cruised to a 7-2 win over FC Cincinnati 2 in MLS Next Pro after falling behind early. Cheikhou Niang gave the visitors an eighth-minute lead, but the hosts answered with four goals before half-time to take control.
Jason Shokalook levelled from Dylan Borso's assist in the 13th minute, and Puso Dithejane put Chicago ahead six minutes later. Shokalook added his second from David Poreba's pass on 30, Viktor Radojevic made it 4-1, and Nathan Gray pulled one back for Cincinnati just before the break. David Poreba, Damian Nigg and a 90th-minute goal completed the scoring.
Chicago dominated the numbers, with 64% possession, 18 shots to 11 and 12 shots on target to four. Jason Shokalook's brace set the tone, and the hosts' expected-goals mark of 3.25 to 1.40 underlined how much they had the better of the game.
