Bournemouth U21 came from behind to beat Chelsea U21 2-1 in Premier League 2. Jonny Day scored twice, including an 89th-minute winner, to turn the match around after Chelsea had led through Reggie Watson's 39th-minute opener.
Chelsea struck first when Reggie Watson found the net just before half-time, but Bournemouth replied immediately through Jonny Day in first-half stoppage time. The game looked set for a draw until Day struck again late on to seal the victory. Ameer Ali, Benjamin George Winterburn and Zac Christie were booked in between.
Chelsea had 59% possession and five shots on target to Bournemouth's two, yet Bournemouth scored with both of theirs. Jonny Day's brace was the difference as the hosts won despite seeing less of the ball.
