FC Corvinul Hunedoara beat CFR 1907 Cluj 3-0 in Liga I. Antonio Manolache's goal just before half-time put them in front, and second-half strikes from Mihajlo Ivančević and Gideon Uche Goodlad made the result safe.
Manolache scored the opener on 43 minutes to make it 1-0. Mihajlo Ivančević doubled the lead on 71 minutes, and Gideon Uche Goodlad added a third in the 88th minute. Alexandru Neacșa was shown the only booking of the match on 61 minutes.
The hosts had less possession, with 47%, but carried far more threat. They finished with 20 shots to CFR's nine, seven shots on target to one, and eight corners to none, while CFR's goalkeeper made five saves.
