Cesena came from behind to draw 1-1 with Mantova in Serie B. Francesco Ruocco's first-half goal gave the visitors the lead, but Cristian Shpendi levelled with 13 minutes left.
Mantova struck in the 31st minute through Ruocco and held that lead until the 77th. Cesena's pressure finally told when Shpendi scored from Luca D'Andrea's assist. Rachid Kouda had been booked in the 19th minute.
The statistics underline how much Cesena dominated: 67% possession, 18 shots to eight, and 10 corners to four. Yet they only mustered five efforts on target and needed a late equaliser to avoid defeat. Mantova, with four saves from their goalkeeper, did just enough to take a point.
