Cerezo Osaka came from behind to beat Fagiano Okayama 2-1 in the J.League. They trailed to Noah Browne's 8th-minute opener but replied twice in four minutes before the half-hour mark.
Okayama led through Browne, but Cerezo levelled through Solomon Sakuragawa on 20 minutes after Kosei Okazawa's assist. Yumeki Yokoyama put the home side ahead on 24 minutes, with Shinji Kagawa providing the pass, and that proved decisive. Ayumu Ohata was booked late on.
The scoreline was perhaps kind to Cerezo on the balance of play. Okayama had 17 shots to Cerezo's six and ten off target, yet Cerezo's four shots on target brought two goals. Possession was level at 50-50.
