Central Córdoba came from behind to beat Unión 2-1 in the Superliga, recovering from Lucas Menossi's early opener with two goals in three second-half minutes. Unión had far more of the ball and chances, but Central Córdoba were ruthless on the break.
Menossi put Unión ahead from Julián Palacios' assist in the 17th minute. Michael Santos levelled unassisted in the 51st, and Facundo Mansilla completed the turnaround from Leonardo Sequeira's delivery in the 54th. That quick double ripped the game away from the hosts.
The numbers underline how unusual the result was. Unión had 23 shots to nine, 60% possession and an expected-goals tally of 1.58 against 0.54, yet Central Córdoba scored from both their big chances while Unión missed both of theirs. The visiting goalkeeper's seven saves kept the lead intact.
