Independiente Santa Fe took the points with a 2-0 win over Boyacá Chicó in the Primera A Apertura. The game was goalless at the break, but Santa Fe broke through twice in the second half to settle it.
Hugo Rodallega opened the scoring in the 54th minute, finishing off Franco Fagúndez's assist, and Sebastián Palma made it 2-0 in the 76th minute. Boyacá Chicó had two big chances in the match but missed both, leaving them with nothing to show for their efforts.
Santa Fe were the more patient side, holding 57% possession and out-shooting Boyacá 8 to 5, with three shots on target to one. Yet Boyacá actually carved out the clearer openings, with two big chances and a similar expected goals figure, which made Santa Fe's clinical edge the difference.
