Platense and Boca Juniors shared the points in a 1-1 Superliga draw. Nicolas Retamar's second-half opener gave the hosts hope, but Miguel Merentiel struck with ten minutes left to earn Boca a share of the spoils.
The game was goalless at the break, with the first real moment arriving on 53 minutes when Retamar converted to put Platense ahead. Boca, who had controlled much of the play, finally made their pressure count on 80 minutes as Merentiel finished after Santiago Ascacíbar's assist. Ascacíbar was later booked, joining Tomás Ariel Silva and Milton Delgado in the referee's notebook.
Boca dominated the numbers – 65% possession and 1.92 expected goals against Platense's 0.78 – but Platense had more shots on target (8-4) and forced seven saves from the visiting goalkeeper. The hosts were outplayed for long spells yet took their big chance, while Boca missed one of their two clear openings.
