Beijing Guoan struck first, Yuning Zhang converting Tze-Nam Yue's assist in the 43rd minute. Three minutes after the interval, Pedro Delgado equalised for the home side. Neither team could add a winner, with the match finishing all square.
Dalian Zhixing had the greater share of possession at 55%, but Beijing Guoan registered more shots on target, three to one, and scored their one big chance. Dawhan's red card reduced the visitors to ten men, yet they held on for the draw, with Dalian Zhixing's goalkeeper making two saves.
