Díaz put Atlético Tucumán ahead in the 63rd minute, scoring from Ramiro Ruiz Rodríguez's assist. He sealed the result in the 90th minute from Luis Ingolotti's pass. Franco Albanell was booked in the 52nd minute and Fernando Martínez in the 89th.
Central Córdoba had 10 shots but only one on target, while Atlético Tucumán managed three from nine attempts. The visitors also created two big chances and finished with an expected-goals mark of 0.67 to 0.41. Leandro Díaz, with his two goals, proved the difference.
