Aries FC Tokyo won 2-1 at Nankatsu SC in the Japan Regional League, despite seeing far less of the ball. They built a two-goal lead and then held on after Nankatsu responded late.
Aries opened the scoring in the 17th minute and doubled their advantage in the 62nd to take control. Nankatsu pulled one back in the 75th minute, but Aries saw the game out from there.
Possession was heavily in Nankatsu's favour, 64% to 36%, yet it was Aries who took the points. The match was broken up by bookings in the 44th, 57th, 76th and 77th minutes, with a red card arriving in the 77th.
