APOEL Nicosia produced a commanding 6-0 win over AEL Limassol in the 1st Division. They had the game largely wrapped up by half-time with two goals in the opening 20 minutes, and eased further clear after AEL were reduced to ten men when Cafú was sent off in the 55th minute.
Marquinhos opened the scoring after 10 minutes, and Fabricio Pedrozo doubled the lead with a second goal on 20. Konstantinos Stafylidis added a third on 61, before Gabriel Maioli made it 4-0 on 79. Fabricio Pedrozo struck again on 84, and a sixth APOEL goal arrived right at the end, in the 90th minute.
Fabricio Pedrozo stood out with two goals, the only player to score more than once. The result was emphatic, though no further match statistics were available to judge how much of the game APOEL controlled in other areas.
