AEK Larnaca beat APOEL Nicosia 3-1 in the 1st Division. Two goals in the first half put them in command, and a third in the 80th minute sealed the win.
Jan Repas opened the scoring in the 27th minute and Konstantinos Stafylidis doubled the lead in the 38th. Yerson Chacón made it 3-0 in the 80th, and Ioannis Avramidis scored APOEL’s consolation in the 89th. Dálcio was sent off in the 90th minute.
The scoring sequence shows how firmly AEK Larnaca controlled the game after going ahead. APOEL’s only reply arrived a minute before stoppage time, too late to change the outcome.
