Danilo Pereira was sent off later in the game, yet neither side could force a winner.
En-Nesyri converted from Ahmed Al-Jelidan's assist to make it 1-0 just before the break. Domingues replied in the 52nd minute, finishing from Shaquille Pinas's set-up to restore parity. The sending-off of Pereira in the 58th minute disrupted the flow, but the score stayed 1-1.
Al-Ittihad had more of the play in attacking terms, firing 15 shots to Al Kholood's 10, while expected goals were close at 2.25 and 2.18. Both teams had four shots on target and each converted one of their big chances, so a draw reflected the balance of the contest.
