Ajax and SC Heerenveen played out a 2-2 draw in the Eredivisie after the hosts surrendered a two-goal lead. Bernt Klaverboer opened the scoring in the seventh minute and Abdellah Ouazane made it 2-0 in the 33rd, but Jacob Trenskow's goal right on half-time gave Heerenveen a foothold.
Trenskow struck in the 45th minute with Sam Kersten providing the assist, cutting the deficit to 2-1. Maxence Rivera then equalised in the 82nd minute to complete the fightback. Four yellow cards were shown, including one to Trenskow in the second half.
Heerenveen had only 46% possession and 14 shots to Ajax's 23, yet put eight attempts on target compared with Ajax's four. Ajax goalkeeper made six saves, and Heerenveen created two big chances to Ajax's one. They finished with an xG of 1.36 against Ajax's 2.00, but the visitors made better use of their chances.
