Viborg FF beat AGF 2-1 in the Superliga, with Mads Söndergaard scoring twice to settle the match. AGF controlled much of the game but Viborg were the more clinical side when their chances came.
Söndergaard headed Viborg in front after 11 minutes from Žan Zaletel's assist, only for AGF to equalise through Frederik Emmery on 31 minutes after Markus Solbakken set him up. Söndergaard struck again on 60 minutes, assisted by Oliver Bundgaard Kristensen, to make it 2-1. Magnus Knudsen was booked in the 76th minute.
The stats underlined AGF's dominance: they had 67% possession, 22 shots to Viborg's 12, 10 corners to 3 and an expected goals figure of 1.77 to 0.88. Yet they scored just once, with Viborg's goalkeeper making six saves, and Söndergaard's brace proved the difference.
