What is padel?

Padel is a racket sport played on an enclosed court about a third of the size of a tennis court. The walls are part of the game — the ball can be played off them after the bounce, which makes rallies longer and more tactical.

Is padel played in pairs or one-on-one?

Almost always in pairs — doubles is the standard competitive format. All major professional tournaments are played two versus two.

How is padel scored?

The same way as tennis: points go 15, 30, 40, game; a set is won at six games. Matches are usually best of three sets with a tie-break at six-all.

What are the main padel tournaments?

Premier Padel is the top professional tour with Major, P1 and P2 events across the season, which ends with the Finals for the leaders of the rankings.
