ZSC Lions closed out Adler Mannheim 1-5 on the road in regulation, taking charge from the opening period and never trailing. The visiting side built a one-goal lead after the first and extended it with a three-goal second period that put the game beyond reach.
Adler Mannheim's only marker came in the second period, but it did little to slow ZSC's momentum. ZSC carried a 1-4 lead into the third before adding one more to settle the final scoreline at 1-5.
The decisive stretch was the middle frame, where ZSC outscored the home side 3-1 and turned a tight game into a four-goal cushion. The road team won every period, capping a controlled, complete performance in regulation.
