Vidmanova defeated Zarazúa 6-3, 6-3 in Memphis, taking control behind a strong serving performance. She finished with five aces and won 76% of points behind her first serve, breaking three times in total.
Vidmanova broke in the second game of the opening set to lead 2-0 and held that edge to close it out. In the second set she moved ahead at 2-1 and then again at 5-2, but could not serve out the match as Zarazúa broke at 5-3; Vidmanova responded immediately with another break at 6-3.
Zarazúa posted a higher first-serve percentage, 84% to 76%, but Vidmanova was far more effective on it and saved five of the six break points she faced. The winner also converted three break points and edged the total points battle 59-49.
