Yokohama FC thrashed Albirex Niigata 5-0 in J.League 2, turning a tight-looking match into a rout with a blistering second-half display. They led by just one at the interval, then scored four more in the closing 40 minutes.
Kaili Shimbo opened the scoring in the 28th minute, and Toma Murata added a second on 52. Kyo Hosoi made it three in the 63rd minute, Katsuya Iwatake followed five minutes later, and a 90th-minute goal completed the demolition.
Four different players were on the scoresheet before that late fifth, and Yokohama kept a clean sheet to round off a thoroughly one-sided afternoon. Hayato Sugita and Ryosuke Iwasaki were booked, but the cards did little to change the flow of the game.
