Austria Salzburg took the points with a 2-0 win away at SPG Wels in the 2. Liga, both goals arriving in the second half. Tamar Crnkic was at the heart of the victory, scoring the opener and then setting up the second.
The game was still goalless at the break, with Paul Gobara booked just before half-time. Salzburg broke through on 59 minutes when Raphael Hofer set up Crnkic to make it 0-1, and twelve minutes later Crnkic turned provider for Christian Gebauer to seal the 0-2 win. The closing stages brought a flurry of bookings but no further goals.
No possession or shot figures were available, but the goal timeline tells a clear enough story: Salzburg were clinical after the interval. Crnkic's goal and assist made him the decisive figure on the night.
