J. Vandromme defeated V. Wolff 6-1, 7-6 in the WTA 125K Kitzbuhel first round, dominating the first set with three breaks and never facing a break point. The Belgian saved all three break points she faced in the second set and won a tiebreak to seal the match in straight sets.
Vandromme broke Wolff in the first game of the match and added breaks at 1-4 and 1-6 to race through the opener 6-1. Wolff broke early in the second set for a 1-0 lead, but Vandromme broke back at 3-3 and held the tiebreak to close out the contest.
Vandromme converted 4 of 8 break points, while Wolff converted only 1 of 5. Vandromme also committed no double faults and won 71% of first-serve points, compared to Wolff's 60% on first serve.
