Wolf took the opener with three breaks, even after Mochizuki answered at 3-2. Mochizuki controlled the second set, breaking at 1-2 and 2-5 while saving all four break points he faced. In the third, Mochizuki led by an early break at 0-1, but Wolf hit back at 3-3 and 5-3.
Mochizuki won more service points overall (45-38) and saved 11 of 15 break points, yet Wolf's returning made the difference. Wolf collected 38 return points to 26 and saved three of four break points in the final set.
